First Utility recognised in Sunday Times Top Track 250
London (PRWEB UK) 21 October 2013 -- First Utility, the UK’s largest independent energy supplier, has been recognised in this year’s Sunday Times Top Track 250 league table. The Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s 250 leading mid-market private companies in the UK.
The ranking reflects First Utility’s continued growth as it continues to take the fight to the ‘Big Six’ incumbent energy companies in the UK. This year, it has launched a campaign to ‘Fix the Switch’ and speed up the time it takes to switch energy provider from four to five weeks to just one day. The campaign has attracted lots of support from the industry and consumer groups who recognise the importance of reforming the industry for the better.
The company also helped to protect customers from un-welcome prices rises ahead of the colder months by pledging to freeze prices for the winter while the Big Six suppliers start to announce increases.
Ian McCaig, CEO of First Utility, said:
“First Utility continues to see strong growth, thanks to our commitment to keep energy bills as low as possible. We’re helping our customers by offering cheaper tariffs than anyone else and helping people use less and save money through the use of innovative technology. What we offer is resonating with more and more people and this is recognised by our presence in the Top Track 250.”
