Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- Commercial aerospace parts distributor First Wave Aerospace, promotes long-time inside sales associate to Sales Team Leader, as it restructures its sales organization to meet increases business volume.
The 22-year-old Tulsa Company was purchased in mid-2013 by a trio of experienced aerospace professionals who have restructured operations and launched a new sales plan that increased monthly sales volume 44% in the last half of fiscal 2013 (see chart). The appointment of long time Inside Salesman Chris Loyd completes the Sales Team management structure of the internal staff, as it currently exists.
Tony McAnly, President of First Wave Aerospace, said the appointment of Loyd is deserving and symbolizes the firm’s flat management structure, as it intendeds to keep decision making close to the customer for better service and to promote from within whenever possible.
"First, it should be said that Chris has rightly earned this recognition and will be entrusted with key decision-making authority and its shows how we go about organizational structure as we continue to grow the Company," McAnly said. "As we grow, each department will have a Team Leader to act within and on behalf of their team and to ensure that their Team is delivering the highest possible value back to their Customers – external, as well as internal customers of the organization."
Loyd became an employee of First Wave only two years after its inception, starting in the warehouse in Oct. 1994 and working his way into inside sales, where he has consistently been a top producer for several years.
Glen Hyden, Vice President and General Manager, First Wave Aerospace, who leads the Sales & marketing strategy for the Company said it was the right personnel decision at the right time.
"As I have been involved in day-to-day sales activities since we took over the company, I have been impressed with Chris Loyd’s product knowledge, respect among the Customers he serves and his flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment and market," Hyden said. "And his productivity in price quoting Customers and entering data in the system is unmatched. We need him to lead and train by his example as we process our growth and rapidly changing environment of our business and industry."
Tim White, Vice President of Inventory Development, First Wave Aerospace, noted that Chris Loyd is often the person and the voice that answers the firm’s AOG line for emergency service and that says something about him and the company.
"Chris volunteers for this after hours duty because he has the most product knowledge of our existing inventory and he knows that’s good for the customer and the company," White said. "You will not get an automated system or someone that doesn’t know a part or how to expedite an aircraft part when you call our AOG line. You get a live person and our most experienced one at that when you call 918-740-0757 for AOG parts"
First Wave Aerospace is one of the largest aerospace parts distributors in the Americas with 6.8 million parts and a large selection of aerospace hardware.
