FirstService Residential Gathers Toys for Children Throughout Dade County This Holiday Season
Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- FirstService Residential, formerly known in Florida as The Continental Group, took part in its yearly initiative to partner with the Guardian Ad Litem Program’s Voices for Children (VFC). VFC’s seventh Annual Toy Drive will benefit children in the Miami-Dade Foster Care System. Along with VFC, FirstService Residential’s Miami-Dade High-Rise Division advocates for the best interest of children who are abused, neglected or abandoned and are involved in court proceedings.
The holiday charitable effort is part of FirstService Residential Cares, FirstService’s year-round corporate philanthropic initiative dedicated to enhancing the lives of the neighbors, residents, and communities it serves across Florida. The primary focus of FirstService Residential Cares is to reach out to nonprofit organizations and entities that meet its mission. This year, associates and resident of FirstService Residential-managed communities donated 2,100 toys to benefit VFC and the children it serves.

Voices for Children is part of a unique collaboration with the 11th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program, serving as its fundraising arm, with the goal of ensuring that a Guardian Ad Litem represents every abused child in Miami-Dade County.
