FirstService Residential Gears Association Members Up for the Capitol
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 26, 2015 -- Board members throughout Nevada are gearing up to visit the Capitol building in Carson City as part of FirstService Residential’s Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. With detailed talking points in hand and the best interests of their communities in mind, these board members are prepared to have their voices heard.
FirstService Residential, the leading community management company in Nevada, has arranged for these board members to visit the Capitol, attend a legislative hearing and meet with their local representatives. Past legislation has had a significant impact; both positive and negative, on homeowners associations. Board members and industry professionals who dedicate countless hours and efforts into ensuring that community associations operate properly have felt many effects from it.
“Many times during these legislative sessions, our leaders only hear from the small minority who are dissatisfied with regulations pertaining to homeowners associations. It’s time that those volunteering to act at the best interests of their fellow homeowners have their voices heard,” said Steven Parker, president of FirstService Residential in Nevada. “That is our intent and overall goal for this event and we are proud to provide this value-added service and opportunity to association leaders.”
Politically involved or not, there is always the possibility that the changes in the Nevada Legislation every two years could affect you and your community. The 2015 legislative session commenced on Monday, February 2 and is scheduled to run through June 1, making it Nevada’s 78th session.
