FirstService Residential Holds Dallas Strong Luncheon in Support of Local Officers
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 19, 2016 -- FirstService Residential, the leading residential association management company in Texas, recently held a luncheon in honor of some of the area’s finest officers from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department. This Dallas Strong event demonstrated FirstService Residential’s appreciation and support for local law enforcement following the senseless July 7th tragedy that dramatically affected Dallas officers, their families and the community at-large.
“As a FirstService Residential family, it was important to respond to local officers and find a way to express our gratitude. A simple lunch, a smile and a big thank you meant the world to these officers and I was so proud to be a part of it,” stated Noel Rodriguez, general manager of The House, a downtown Dallas high-rise property managed by FirstService Residential. “I hold all of the officers in such high regards and I hope others continue to look for ways to recognize these amazing people.”
During the luncheon, several of the officers spoke about what they do on a daily basis and how they put themselves in dangerous situations each and every day, without hesitation. “We have to remember that as officers we signed what I can only describe as a promissory note to every citizen in the communities that we serve. We swore an oath to wear these uniforms and badges proudly and to protect and serve regardless of who needs help,” commented Dallas Officer Edward Wright. “Normally, when you have a traumatic event in your life you receive several well wishes and I'm sorry for your loss statements. It's not the norm that you have a company go out of its way to say these words, or commit to show their support by offering to spend time with you and even share a meal.”
Officer Wright further commented that “our officers take pride in words like dedication, loyalty, honor, respect and service. It’s easy to see why the word service is part of your company's name. The service you've shown us speaks volumes about your company and we're glad we had the opportunity to share this time with you.”
The surprise luncheon, held at the Dallas County Sheriff Gun Range, hosted over 25 officers from the local downtown Dallas area. Food was provided by iFratelli and Freshii. FastSigns sponsored the banquet banner.
