FIT36 Big Game Fitness Challenge
Highlands Ranch, Colo. (PRWEB) February 03, 2016 -- America’s most frequently watched television broadcast airs this Sunday, bringing together friends and families to not only view the big game, but also some of the most entertaining commercials of the year. With millions of Americans transfixed to their TVs, mindlessly eating and drinking, while barely moving for anything other than to visit the bathroom, the new high intensity interval training (HIIT) brand, FIT36®, is instituting a Big Game Fitness Challenge.
The challenge is simple. Every time there’s a major play that results in a score, turnover or Q-B sack, there is a corresponding exercise to help fans work off calories and maybe a little steam. There are eight different events that FIT36® has labeled as HIIT-worthy moments within the game. For every other moment in the game, sit back, relax, and get ready for the next big play.
“It’s a fun, easy way to get you off the couch and incorporate some fitness,” says Jen Holdren, general manager and trainer at the FIT36® studio in the Denver Tech Center. “If you’re with a large group, you can even turn it into a competition between your friends and family, all while still being engaged in the game.”
Depending on a person’s level of fitness, viewers can choose to do the recommended number of reps on the attached chart, or challenge themselves by increasing the number of reps to correspond with the number of points scored, or total sacks and turnovers made during the game.
Here is the FIT36® Big Game Fitness Challenge:
• 1st Down: 3 Jumping Jacks
• Touchdown: 6 pushups
• Field Goal: 3 Burpees
• Sack: 6 Sofa Dips
• Punt: 6 Crunches
• Kickoff: 3 Squat Jumps
• Turnover: 6 Lunges
• Safety: 6 OF EVERYTHING!
“Historically, this Sunday has always been the ultimate time to bring your friends and family together to enjoy the festivities,” said JR Lofton, manager and trainer of soon-to-open FIT36® in the Highlands neighborhood in Denver. “FIT36® is all about using fitness to bring people together and create a fun community as well. This challenge matches fitness with one of the world’s biggest events, while adding to the fun of the game.”
FIT36® reminds viewers to exercise responsibly and to remember that this is just a game.
FIT36® is a 36-minute, high intensity interval training workout incorporating everything from kettle bells, bands and monkey bars to TRX straps, free weights and rowers. Clients progress through 12 different stations, twice, with brief periods of rest in between circuits. Each circuit involves 60 seconds of work and 30 seconds of rest. The workout can burn 500-plus calories in 36 minutes while also building strength.
