Fitness Expert Rebecca Kordecki Slides Across America For National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month
New York City, New York (PRWEB) September 08, 2014 -- More than 23 million children and teens are obese or overweight in this country and that number is increasing at an alarming rate each year. In an effort to put the spotlight on this epidemic in America, fitness and lifestyle expert, Rebecca Kordecki, is taking to the streets to spread her message. Ms. Kordecki’s 12 city Obesity Warrior Tour begins on September 2nd during National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month in New York City and ends in Los Angeles, CA.
Ms. Kordecki’s mission is to educate and inspire parents and children with ways to combat this growing problem in America. “By embarking on this cross country tour and stopping in cities all over the U.S., I hope to reach these children and their families to give them tools to utilize and help them before it is too late.”
Since 2006, Ms. Kordecki has been offering family fitness camps and has made it her mission to combat childhood obesity. She sees this epidemic as preventable and manageable. “I believe that the health and wellness of our kids begins at home. Parents and families must be armed with more information about healthy lifestyles where nutrition and exercise are concerned. There can be no more turning a blind eye to the situation or sitting on the sidelines. This is a battle and to win it we must all do our part.”
In addition to her Obesity Warrior Tour Ms. Kordecki’s next project, The Obesity Warrior Handbook – A Family Guide to Winning the Battle Against Obesity is set for release October 15th, 2014.
