Five Recipients Awarded $1,000 Scholarships for Creighton’s Graduate Dental Ethics Course
Omaha, NB (PRWEB) May 08, 2014 -- The Dr. Cecelia L. Dows Scholarship, through the American College of Dentists Foundation, affords dental professionals interested in gaining an advanced understanding of ethics and implementing innovations in the industry an opportunity to apply for one of 10 $1000 scholarships for Creighton University’s 3-unit graduate-level course in dental ethics.
This is the third year running that scholarships have been offered. The 2014 recipients were David Adkin Anderson, William Randall Bachand, Susanne Largura Benedict, Jack Martin Gelb and Paul Howard Werner.
The graduate dental ethics course is designed as a standalone class, but the credits received upon completion can be applied to Creighton University’s online Master of Science in Health Care Ethics degree or graduate certificate option if students are accepted into the program. Applications for the next session will be accepted in early 2015, and those interested can apply through the ACD home page.
The online Master of Science in Health Care Ethics program at Creighton University was created to instill within professionals a heightened understanding of the issues centered on the ethical, legal and social implications of advances in medical technology and clinical medicine. The degree program is entirely online and can be completed in as little as 18 months.
