FLAVORx Independent Pharmacy of the Year to be Named in October
Columbia, Maryland (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- FLAVORx today announced the inaugural FLAVORx Independent Pharmacy of the Year award, to be presented each October in conjunction with American Pharmacists Month. The 2013 FLAVORx Independent Pharmacy of the Year will exemplify great success with the FLAVORx program, a commitment to improving patient care, and a willingness to go above and beyond to develop their pharmacy business.

Founded in 1994 in a small independent pharmacy in Washington, D.C., FLAVORx is available in several thousand independently owned pharmacy locations. Independent pharmacies represent over one third of pharmacies in the US, and, as a whole, dispense roughly 1.5 billion prescriptions annually.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 30, 2013. On October 9, 2013, the FLAVORx Independent Pharmacy of the Year award winner will be announced. Also in October, FLAVORx will take to Facebook to celebrate American Pharmacists Month, including a special tribute to Pharmacy Technicians on October 22, National Pharmacy Technician Day.
