FlexiHub Is Now Available for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows
(PRWEB) December 28, 2015 -- Eltima Software, with its team of leaders in USB and serial port sharing, has just released new versions of its revolutionary FlexiHub solution. Now Mac OS X and Linux versions are available in addition to the Windows version.
FlexiHub is a software for sharing USB and serial ports over a network. It allows access to any device over the network no matter where it is - the same room, the same building, another state, another country, or another continent. It is easy to manage and access shared USB port devices on a local or remote computer of a user's FlexiHub account.
FlexiHub uses a new approach to privacy. All FlexiHub users can register their private account and protect it with a password. On any machine that a user logs into, they will have access to their exclusive account and devices shared within it.
FlexiHub technology includes:
- Most popular platforms support
FlexiHub is smoothly installed and works flawlessly on:
Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
Mac OS X 10.9 - 10.10
Linux - was tested Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 15.10, Debian 8, Centos 7
- Private connection via SSL protocol
Thanks to 256-bit SSL encryption, FlexiHub connections are accessible only to a specific user's account. Such a connection cannot be intercepted and no one can get to its data. FlexiHub is saying no to data loss.
- Three types of data transmission in connection
FlexiHub sends data over LAN, UDP, and its own redirection server, providing the most stable and fastest connection depending on the user's conditions.
- Connection traffic compression
One of the usual problems with software sharing of USB and serial ports is very large traffic that overloads network and destabilizes it. FlexiHub has it covered with a unique mechanism of traffic compression. Traffic compression of FlexiHub helps unload the network when certain devices send uncompressed data (e.g. scanners). Depending on the user's needs, one can choose between better speed or better compression rate.
- Flexible subscription plans
FlexiHub offers four subscription plans - one of them is free, other plans are paid. A free subscription allows sharing on one device and using software on two nodes (computers) with a limitation of 20 minutes per session.
Paid subscription plans allow sharing multiple devices among multiple nodes (computers). Users can use FlexiHub's own redirection server and automatic re-connection in case connection with a shared device is interrupted.
Subscribing for one year of FlexiHub saves 18% compared to subscribing for shorter period of time. To know more about subscription plans and what they include, visit http://www.flexihub.com/prices/
Please note: COM ports can be shared in Windows version only.
