Flight Trampoline Park delivers holiday cheer to charities and area students
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 19, 2016 -- As a part of its ongoing mission to be a good steward of the community, Flight Trampoline Park in Bridgeville and its parent company, Flight Fit n Fun, donated $57,000 to these 11 groups in the form of cash, free tickets and complimentary visits to the park.
At a special ceremony at the park held Wednesday, Dec. 7, Flight presented $12,600 in cash to Tickets for Kids, Ward Home, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Best Buddies, The Pittsburgh Project, Variety and the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.
Each of these charities received a minimum of $1,000.
“We are proud to partner with so many wonderful organizations to spread cheer throughout the local community,” said David Silverman, a South Hills native who is one of the park’s owners. “As a company, it’s critical for us to be part of the fabric of the communities where we operate. This pledge to our neighbors extends throughout the entire calendar year, not just during the holiday season.”
Flight is also making free tickets available (valued at $16 each) and/or hosting complimentary park visits worth $44,400 for the Chartiers Valley, South Fayette and Upper St. Clair school districts, the Peters Township PTA and the charity organizations previously referenced above.

“We were thrilled to simply receive free tickets we could use for our young people to either visit the park or sell to raise money for our organization,” said Ward Home Executive Director Bill Wolfe, whose organization provides independent living programs for at-risk teens and young adults in the Pittsburgh region. “The additional cash donation we received exceeded our wildest expectations. We want to thank everyone from Flight who has made such a significant commitment to helping local charities and young people in Pittsburgh.”
As Silverman said, Flight’s commitment to the community won’t end with the conclusion of the holiday season.
Flight already partnered with Best Buddies to host special needs training for its staff on Nov. 21, after previously committing to host special needs groups during the first and third Tuesdays of each month moving forward.
Best Buddies is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Flight also will continue to work with local charities focused on helping disadvantaged and at-risk youth groups by hosting fundraisers and providing tickets and time, thereby sharing the gift of “Flight” with children and teenagers who otherwise would be unable to visit the park.
The donations mark the culmination of a recent $750,000 renovation to Flight’s flagship location in Bridgeville that included the addition of a laser maze, ninja warrior course and new kids zone.
