The “Lunch Box” High-CBD Edible, created by Josh “Yoshi” Ludy, is a peanut butter sandwich cookie filled with raspberry jam. CBD is the abbreviation for Cannabidiol, which has been shown to have several positive effects for medical use, without the psychoactive effects provided by THC. CBD is effective in treating Crohn’s disease, PTSD and multiple sclerosis, and has received widespread attention for the relief it has provided to children suffering with Dravet’s Syndrome, a debilitating form of epilepsy that is resistant to other treatments.
The High Times Cannabis Cup originated as an annual cannabis festival in 1987 and until 2010 was only held in Amsterdam. During the Seattle Cannabis Cup, which took place September 6 – 7, 2014, international judges sampled and chose their favorite cannabis products in a variety of categories, such as Best U.S. Sativa, Indica and Hybrid, Best Medical Sativa, Indica and Hybrid, and Best Medical Edible.
