Florida Career College Campuses Now Offering Career Training in Limited Scope X-Ray Technician
South Fla. (PRWEB) December 19, 2013 -- Florida Career College, a member of the Anthem Education Group family of schools and colleges, has expanded its curriculum to offer a one-year diploma program in Limited Scope X-Ray Technician at its campuses in Hialeah, Kendall, Miami and Pembroke Pines.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ projections, employment for radiologic technologists who conduct diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x-rays, is projected to grow 29 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations.
The Limited Scope X-Ray Technician program teaches students the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, as well as theory and concepts of radiographic physics. Students are taught patient care procedures and basic office administrative procedures. Upon receiving their diploma, graduates can compete for entry-level X-ray technician and basic machine operator positions and can find employment in outpatient centers, hospitals, diagnostic labs and physician offices.
FCC teaches practical and applicable skills through industry-current career training and is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
