Selections for this list are made over a four-stage process. First, candidates are recognized either through a nomination or by the in-house research team. Next, the NADC research team does an in-depth vetting and review process of each of the candidates, looking at multiple factors. Then, a panel of esteemed attorneys reviews the research to determine which of their peers exemplifies the attributes of a member of the list. The final stage consists of a judicial review board, comprised of former judges, who looks at the remaining candidates and finalizes the list.
