Florida Hospital Tampa and Tampa Family Health Centers Form Obstetric Partnership
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- Florida Hospital Tampa and Tampa Family Health Centers today announced a partnership that allows expectant mothers under the care of Tampa Family Health Centers to deliver at Florida Hospital Tampa. Tampa Family Health Centers is one of the largest ambulatory care providers in Hillsborough County. Florida Hospital Tampa is one of the community’s largest tertiary hospitals.

The new partnership provides an additional option for mother’s residing in Northern Tampa to receive OB care. “Tampa Family Health Center serves hundreds of OB patients at our University Area Health Center, just a few blocks from the Florida Hospital Tampa campus. Many of these patients have requested to be able to deliver at Florida Hospital Tampa. We are happy to now be able to provide this option for our patients,” says Mr. Charles R. Bottoms, CEO, Tampa Family Health Centers.
This newly formed partnership between Florida Hospital Tampa and Tampa Health Clinics is part of a larger strategic plan to create a comprehensive Women’s and Children’s Hospital over the next 12-18 months. Specific elements for the campus on Fletcher and Bruce B. Downs include a fully renovated mother/baby unit, labor and delivery unit, expanded level III NICU and well-baby nursery, birthing center and more.
