Florida House Experience Alumni Continues Its Mission To Help Build More Homes in South Florida
Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- In an effort to give back to those in need, Florida House Experience alumni have decided to come together once again to help Habitat for Humanity build homes for needy families in southern Florida. Past projects between the two organizations have been so successful, that Habitat for Humanity decided to reach out to Florida House Experience for help, and the invitation thus far has been widely received.
One alumni member notes that helping others is actually very helpful when it comes to addiction recovery. This member remarked that “helping others has shown me that I am valuable, and that I can make a difference in other people’s lives. That feeling of self-worth did a lot to help me in my own recovery efforts, and I would like to encourage others who are suffering to get involved as well.” Other alumni members have echoed these sentiments on the group’s Facebook page and through e-mail newsletters.
Thus far, the Florida House Experience has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Broward County seven times over the past year. In their latest efforts, the group filled an available spot in early October, where their work was highly acclaimed. It is expected that the two groups will work together on many more projects in the coming months, which is something the Florida House Experience alumni are greatly looking forward to doing.
