Florida MEP Offers a Lean Assessment Production Floor Walk-through for Manufacturing, Medical, Government and Service Organizations to Identify Waste

Lean manufacturing is a systematic approach to identifying and eliminating waste through continuous improvement to allow product flow at the pull of the customer.

FLMEP lean experts will help companies trace the "product" from the initial sale to delivery of finished product, including distances, stops, and the frequency of product handling, identifying areas of waste.
The seven wastes of Lean include defects, overproduction, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion, and processing. Florida MEP lean experts will help companies identify various types of waste in their operations and facilitate staff in a systematic lean manufacturing approach to remove the wastes. Improvement projects and training include value stream mapping, Kaizen event facilitation, flow / cellular manufacturing, visual controls, 5S workplace organization, standardized work, pull / kanban production methods, set-up reduction, total preventive maintenance, mistake-proofing, and plant layout.
