Florida’s Marion County Clerk Implements E-Recording with Simplifile
MARION COUNTY, Fla. (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- Marion County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, David R. Ellspermann, announced the implementation of electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents, such as deeds, mortgages, liens, and other land records through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider.
“This is a cost-effective solution to the current practice of mailing, utilizing a courier service, or hand delivering documents,” said Ellspermann. “Additionally, Simplifile accelerates document recording and allows customers to track the status of their submissions.”
Simplifile’s web-based e-recording service enables title companies, banks, attorneys, and government agencies to electronically and securely submit documents to the clerk’s office for faster, more efficient recording.
“The ability to e-record the necessary documents for a real estate closing, while the participants are at the table, is a tremendous advantage. Home buyers will be able to walk away from the closing with their recorded deed in hand and lenders will have the knowledge that their lien is securely in place,” Ellspermann added.
E-Recording also helps the county save time and money, reducing paper, postage, and time spent on scanning, stamping, and return mailings.

Marion County is the 37th county to implement Simplifile’s e-recording service in the state of Florida.
