Dania Beach, FL (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- Gearing up for the busy winter season, the Florida Superior Small Lodging Association (SSL) announced today that over 117 of its member hotels, inns and B&B’s throughout the state have been awarded the prestigious Donal A. Dermody White Glove Award for housekeeping excellence.
SSL is an association of small Florida lodgings with less than 50 rooms and is the answer to the main question on the mind of most travelers when booking a property - “Is it clean?” The association functions as the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” for these small properties and each member must pass an annual inspection by an outside agency on a variety of issues to remain in good standing.
The White Glove Award recognizes those properties that have achieved excellence in cleanliness and received a 100% score on that portion of their inspection.
“Potential guests know that when they see the Superior Small Lodging sign they can be assured that their experience will be one of superior service, comfort and cleanliness. It’s no wonder that most SSL members have exceptionally high rankings on TripAdvisor and the other travel review sites,” said Scott Rivelli, Executive Director.
The 2014 White Glove Awards will be distributed at the Superior Small Lodging Annual Conference which is hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau on October 5th and 6th and will be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. This year’s theme is “Taking Your Small Lodging to the Next Level” and will feature speakers and workshops on the topic.
The annual conference gives proprietors of small lodgings the opportunity to gather to network, socialize learn and innovate together. It is open to members and to all proprietors of lodgings that are less than 50 rooms. For more information please click here or contact Scott Rivelli, Executive Director.
