Flottman Company To Now Provide Solutions In Advance of the Federal Government’s New Track & Trace Regulations.

As a means of expanding capabilities Flottman has added a G&K Vijuk TTM Coding & Serialization Device. This addition will enable Flottman to individually code professional inserts (PIs) and patient package inserts (PPIs) that will marry with all additional packaging components.
“We wanted to offer the serialization option to our clients ahead of the Federal regulations so that we could have the process mastered prior to the mandatory implementation,” stated Peter Flottman, CFO for Flottman Company, “the TTM Coding and Serialization Unit fits in-line with our other Vijuk components making the machine’s addition simple and fluid.”
The TTM Coding and Serialization unit will enable Flottman to offer code printing in advance of the full implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. In 2017 mandatory compliance will require trackable coding on the individual unit level. These looming Federal mandates will call for pharmaceutical companies to identify PIs, PPIs and packing with unique serialization codes. The TTM unit will print two-dimensional codes utilizing black and/or invisible inks. The Flottman addition of invisible ink printing, that is visible only under ultraviolet lighting, will add an additional layer of security.
The G&K – Vijuk TTM Coding & Serialization machine will print unique security codes directly on the miniature right-turn angle (RTA) outsets. These pieces will be verified via a camera that checks quality, readability and placement. The device will eject pieces that are unreadable or missing coding components.
Installation is complete, test runs finalized and initial orders compiled the TTM Coding & Serialization Machine is in full swing at Flottman Company.
