Mr. Suleman’s presentation will focus on best practices for using #Docker, an open-source project to easily create lightweight, portable, self-sufficient containers from any application, to help increase web developer productivity and operations. The talk will include real-world examples of how Flux7 is using #Docker to achieve low overhead virtualization, to be a key aspect of a #DevOps architecture, to optimize developer flows, and to mimic multi-tier production environments on a single machine.

It’s time to say goodbye to the guess work of designing in the absence of real data,” said Mr. Suleman, who has a PhD in computer engineering from the University of Texas-Austin, where he now teaches computer systems design and architecture. “Back-end web developers also benefit from Docker by being able to mimic the production environment on their local machine with great gains in performance and testing efficiency.
