Fly to Mammoth Lakes or Fresno and Visit Yosemite Free
MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (PRWEB) May 09, 2018 -- Guests flying into Mammoth Yosemite (MMH) or Fresno Yosemite (FAT) airports on Alaska Airlines can present their boarding passes from either location to the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) driver upon boarding the bus for a free ride to Yosemite. YARTS offers transportation for visitors who would prefer to travel by bus from outlying communities into Yosemite Valley rather than drive themselves.
“The launch of Fly Alaska, Ride YARTS is timely with the Fresno Yosemite International Airport peak summer travel season and will offer travelers on Alaska Airlines a seamless transition from aircraft to Yosemite National Park for the adventure vacation of a lifetime or the stillness of nature,” said Fresno Yosemite International Airport Media & Public Relations Officer Vikkie Calderon.
Alaska Airlines is the only airline to serve both the Eastern (Mammoth Lakes) and Western (Fresno) gateways to Yosemite National Park, allowing guests the opportunity to explore Yosemite from either side of the Sierra, as well as popular Eastern Sierra attractions such as Devils Postpile, the John Muir Trail, and Mono Lake in one fell swoop.
Located just 45 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite is easy to access. Make Mammoth Lakes your base camp and then explore the park via YARTS in order to avoid traffic and crowds in Yosemite.
“Making Mammoth Lakes your base camp for visiting Yosemite is the only way to go,” said Mammoth Lakes Tourism Director of Marketing Whitney Lennon. “Not only do you get to leave the driving to YARTS, but you also gain access to many other attractions you would not see just visiting Yosemite.”
Flying to Mammoth Lakes makes traveling to Yosemite National Park and seeing all of the park’s breathtaking natural wonders easy. Catch a flight from anywhere in the U.S. and then start your journey to the park from Mammoth Lakes.
YARTS service to Yosemite is seasonal from Mammoth Lakes, running from June 2 – September 30, 2018. See complete terms and conditions below.
