FlyRealHUDS.com Debuts Jetcraft Avionics’ HUD Mobile Pro Simulator at NBAA 2013
(PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- At the NBAA 2013 Conference in Las Vegas last week, FlyRealHUDs.com rolled out another new custom Head-Up Display (HUD) simulator from their Electronic Hanger. The new HUD simulator was built for Jetcraft Avionics and simulates the enhanced flight vision system called “HUD Vision Access” that was recently certified for use on the Bombardier Challenger 604 business jet. HUD Vision Access combines Kollsman’s EVS-II and AT-HUD giving pilots greater visibility through rain, snow, smog and even heavy fog – with a level of detail and contrast never before achieved. The two systems combine to form the world’s most advanced EFVS solution all from a single OEM. Jetcraft has the only HUD and Enhanced Vision aftermarket program for corporate and air transport aircraft.
The new Jetcraft HUD Vision Access training system called “HUD Mobile Pro,” leverages the well-known X-Plane flight simulator and supports all modes of operation using today’s most advanced avionics and navigation systems. The system was developed to run on a Mac Pro laptop computer (also compatible with other PC laptop and desktop configurations) so that you can continue to train like a pro no matter where you are. The simulator at NBAA 2013 was displayed on a crystal clear 25 inch Mac monitor providing easy viewing for all conference attendees. The HUD Vision Access demonstration attracted pilots and professionals throughout the corporate aircraft world, including test pilots from several OEMS that gave enthusiastic approval of the new FlyRealHUDs.com training simulator.
FlyRealHUDs.com builds full fidelity HUD software and simulators that support all phases of flight, instrument approaches and Enhanced Vision modes. The Mobile Pro simulation of the HUD Vision Access AT-HUD includes capabilities for CATI and CATII operations, Takeoff Go-Around (TOGA) and Upset Recovery Modes anywhere in the world. Working in concert with the X-Plane model of the Challenger 604 aircraft, the HUD supports real AT-HUD symbology for all of the typical modes of operation with the simulated avionics and navigation systems. Using VMC or IMC modes, pilots can make approaches into the most challenging of airports and train to achieve the skill and performance of a seasoned aviator.
“Our HUD Mobile Pro training simulator can be flown on a PC or MAC pretty much anywhere a person wants to practice flying a HUD,” said Doug Hosmer, head of marketing for FlyRealHUDs.com. "The simulator enables Jetcraft’s HUD Vision Access customers to easily learn the functions of their Challenger 604 AT-HUD. This provides major cost savings compared to actual aircraft time or a costly full scale aircraft simulator."
