Follow-up Tests Confirm Success of Enviro-Equipment Inc.’s Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) CleanInject® Remediation System
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 21, 2013 -- Enviro-Equipment Inc., a leading innovator of in situ bioremediation solutions, announced today that a second round of groundwater samples has confirmed that the majority of wells at the site treated with the patent-pending CleanInject® system have reached site specific target levels (SSTL).
The S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control (SCDHEC)-approved treatment, which involved injecting powdered activated carbon (PAC) into a petroleum impacted formation to remediate the groundwater and soil, was conducted in August 2012 on a State of South Carolina stimulus site.
The treatment was initially designed as a four day pilot test of the CleanInject® process, but was so effective that it remediated almost all of the contamination at the site, with the latest samples indicating a contaminant concentration reduction of 99.94%. The site consulting company, Midlands Environmental, has noted that it will re-sample the site on a semi-annual basis to determine if any further action is required.

Other groundwater remediation technologies such as Sparge/Vent could take two years or more to produce a similar result, and could cost three to five times more than this technology. We see this technology quickly cleaning up a lot of sites and saving a lot of money over the long run.”
