“Fonality is experiencing exceptional growth, and it is both exciting and necessary to expand our team by appointing exceptional people to key roles within the organization,” said the company’s CEO, David Scult. “We now have approximately 270,000 users in 99 countries worldwide and are experiencing a growth rate of more than 25 percent in our subscriber base. We’re adding the right people in the right roles to support this momentum.”
Raul Vera is an executive with more than 24 years of in-depth experience in software and systems engineering in multiple disciplines. He is the sole inventor on one United States patent and co-inventor on four others. Vera joined Fonality in 2011 and has helped build the company’s world-class engineering organization, spanning development, architecture, QA, network operations, security and IT. He brings an in-depth understanding of telecommunications technologies and mobile location-based services.
Lynn Jones has been named director of demand generation. She has an extremely diverse and extensive background in the areas of engineering, sales, marketing planning, go-to-market strategy, and campaign execution. Amber Newman is Fonality’s director of marketing communications. She has a broad background in business-to-business technology marketing and corporate communications, with experience ranging from startups to large enterprises and consulting. Newman comes to Fonality from ShoreTel, where she was senior manager of marketing communications for the company’s cloud division.
Newman explained her reasons for joining the company in a recent blog post, noting that at Fonality, “the goal isn’t just providing cheap dial tone, it’s figuring out how communications technology can be leveraged to shorten sales cycles, improve customer retention, effectively utilize resources and address other top-of-mind concerns for business owners and managers.”
