The Foo Fighters have been together since 1994 and this group is still considered to be one of the most prominent members of the music business. Consisting of Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, and Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters have now released eight studio albums and recently announced their plan to tour around the United States and Canada on the “Sonic Highway World Tour” in 2015. The tour will kick off with a special 20th anniversary show at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC on Independence Day and will conclude with a show in Memphis, TN at the FedEx Forum in October.

The Foo Fighters recently released their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, in November and have already seen it sell more thousands of copies. The group is one of the most successful in the alternative rock genre, having sold more than 11 million copies in the United States alone. Of their previous seven albums, all have earned at least Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America with more than 500,000 copies sold and some have earned Platinum certification with more than one million copies sold.
Depending on which stop their fans will attend will alter which group will perform with the Foo Fighters on their world tour. During some stops, Royal Blood will open, while Mission of Burma will be the opening act at other stops. Both groups are talented in their own right and will look to get the crowd amped up for the popular group from Seattle, WA.
The Foo Fighters “Sonic Highways World Tour” will take them to many of the most popular venues on North America. Among the stops the group will make include two shows at Fenway Park in Boston, MA, as well as shows at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL, Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, The Forum in Los Angeles, CA, Citi Field in Queens, NY, and Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.
