BATON ROUGE, LA (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- The Food Safety Solutions Consultants, a leading international food safety consulting company specializing in creating a global culture of food safety, has redesigned upcoming Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Training (PCQI) for Human Food training courses to include both instructor-led and blended courses. Both courses are taught by Food Safety Solutions Consultants who are Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Lead Instructors.
A PCQI indicates a qualified individual has completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls, enabling an individual to develop and execute a food safety system. “The PCQI course, developed by (FSPCA) is the only “standardized curriculum” recognized by the FDA. These preventive controls enable food companies to adhere to the next phase of compliance,” said Hunter Young, Founder and CEO, Food Safety Solutions Consultants.
The final rule developed by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Preventive Controls for Human Food became final September 2016 and some businesses began obtaining compliance then, however, many more food facilities need to understand the importance of the final rule and why a PCQI is needed. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the requirements of FSMA are to implement and establish a written food safety plan, preventive controls, hazard analysis, a recall plan, and much more, prepared under the guidance of and overseen by a PCQI.
