Footwork Production Hosts the 2013 Battle of the Year USA B-boy Crew Eliminations on August 24th
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 23, 2013 -- Footwork Production, LLC in partnership with Battle of the Year (Six Step GmbH) brings the largest b-boy event in the world to the Hard Rock Live Las Vegas. Known as the “world cup of breakdancing,” this Vegas strip event will feature dance crew showcases, dance crew battles, 2 vs. 2, special performance by the UNLV Rebel Girls, and a special appearance by the Red Bull BC One All Stars. The event will be held on August 24th from (1-9pm) at the famous Hard Rock Live Las Vegas at 3771 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89108. Dance crews will start off by showcasing their best performance in front of hip-hop enthusiasts, friends, and families. The winning dance crew will receive an all expense trip to Braunschweig, Germany in October to represent the United States of America in the world finals. The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome.

In June, Footwork Production completed their 2nd major event, titled UK B-boy Championships. In partnership with B-Boy Championships World Series, Footwork Production will be sending the winning crew, Massive Monkees from Seattle, on an all expense trip to Birmingham, UK in September.

The Battle of the Year (BOTY) is the biggest b-boying competition in the world, often referred to as the ‘world cup of breakdancing.’ As a b-boy, it does not get much bigger than competing at the Battle of the Year finals. Just to get there, crews must first compete in regional BOTY preliminaries around the world. Then, in front of a packed audience, they perform a six-minute choreographed routine which is judged on synchronicity, stage presence, theme, music, as well as b-boying moves. The best crews then go through to the final battles, an electrifying unscripted play-off that sees the rival b-boys battling each other, face-to-face, individually and as a crew, for the ultimate prize. But BOTY is much more than a contest.
