For the First Time American Academy of Thermology Offers 2016 ATT Member Certification Qualification Course via Webinar on July 30 and August 6
Greenville, SC (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- The American Academy of Thermology (AAT) has announced that for the first time in the organization’s history, it is offering its 2016 AAT Member Certification Qualification Course for Technicians via a two part webinar on July 30 and August 6.
The curriculum for the webinar, which will include a detailed review of hardware, software, and camera setup/operations, aligns with the in-person member qualification course that will be held on April 9 in Greenville, SC.
The course is designed to address the needs of technicians looking for a basic level training program, and for advanced technologists who have an interest in improving their skills in conducting Medical Infrared Thermal Imaging examinations.
More experienced thermographers are also encouraged to attend this member certification qualification course as an obligatory step in achieving member certification. All technologists will benefit from a review of core curriculum, presentations designed to enhance skills, and case discussions that illustrate compliance with AAT Guidelines.
Upon completion of both webinar sessions, participants should be able to:
- Have a basic understanding of the physics and pathophysiology related to Medical Thermal Imaging.
- Understand the functioning and operations of infrared imaging cameras and have a working knowledge of thermal imaging software programs.
- Recognize the complexities of environment and subject variables in the acquisition of quality infrared images needed for medical physiological evaluations.
- Familiarize attendees with AAT Clinical Guidelines for Neuromusculoskeletal, Oral-Systemic, and Breast Imaging.
- Demonstrate an understanding of examination protocols.
- Understand the minimum requirements for image storage and presentation.
“Clinical instruction provided in the AAT Technician Certification Qualification Course will ensure that the technician’s technical operation and clinical imaging will comply with AAT Thermographic Guidelines,” commented Jeffrey J. Lefko, Executive Director of the AAT.
