Formation of Advisory Board Announced by CEG TEK International
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- CEG TEK International has announced the creation of its Advisory Board and inaugural members: Mike Gavigan and Antony Payne.
The move comes amid CEG TEK's announcement of a series of leadership team appointments and the Company's continued growth in providing rights and content owners worldwide with first-in-class copyright, trademark, and brand protection services.
CEG TEK is in the process of bringing together media and entertainment industry executives to broaden the perspective of the Company by leveraging their collective experience, knowledge, and network. "We will benefit greatly from the formation of our advisory board. We are honored to have these seasoned individuals fill the first two seats," noted Co-Founder & COO, Kyle Reed.
The Advisory Board will provide counsel and perspective on all aspects of the Company including overall direction, strategy, and opportunities. The Board convened for the first time in September of 2013.
Mike Gavigan has over 30 years of finance, accounting, sales planning, and corporate leadership experience in both public and privately held companies. When he graduated from college, he began working for Arthur Andersen, a Big 8 firm. After several years working there, passing the CPA exam, and obtaining the necessary experience to practice, Mike transitioned into the corporate world. He was Vice President of Sales Planning at Walt Disney Home Entertainment where he pioneered the use of point of sale data in home video to provide insight into key issues impacting consumer activity. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for both Pico Macom and Hoffman Video Systems overseeing finance and operations. Most recently, Mike served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Avail-TVN f/k/a TVN Entertainment where he was charged with managing the finance, human resources, and royalty processing. Currently, Mike owns and operates Gavigan & Company, which provides outsourced CFO services, traditional accounting, and tax services to both well-established and startup enterprises. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. As a member of CEG TEK's Advisory Board, Mike's long and successful career provides the insight and experience necessary to counsel the company.
Antony Payne has been involved in advertising, production, and content management and distribution for over 30 years. He started as a television commercial producer at Ogilvy & Mather in London and founded GASP! Productions with Giraldi and Suarez in New York and Los Angeles. His storied and award-winning background in commercial and music video production (MTV VMA, Billboard Music Video Award, People's Choice Award, Rolling Stone Critics' Poll, PLAY, CLIO Award, American Music Award) includes direct involvement with Michael Jackson's "Beat It," R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion," Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield," and Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson's collaborative hit "Say Say Say." His television, documentary, and live event credits include concerts for Amnesty International that featured Peter Gabriel, Youssou N'Dour, Tracy Chapman, Alanis Morissette, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and many more. He also produced "Motown Oral Histories" and "B.B. King: The Blues Summit" specials. Antony served as Vice President of Business Development for EDS Digital Studios where his clients included ABC, MTV, Disney, MGM, Universal, Paramount, Fox, and Sony. Most recently, he served as Director of Digital Media for Televisa in Mexico City, the world's largest Spanish language broadcaster and content producer. He plays a key role and consistently offers a fresh, unique perspective to the Company.
