Former Councilmember David Catania Returns to Greenberg Traurig’s Health Care Practice
(PRWEB) March 18, 2015 -- International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to grow its Washington, D.C. office with the return of David Catania as a shareholder in the Health & FDA Business Practice. Catania focuses his practice on health care, government law and strategy, and public policy.

Catania served as a District of Columbia Councilmember for more than 17 years, during which time he chaired the Committee of Education (2013-2014), Committee on Health (2005-2013), Committee on Public Services (2001-2005), and Committee on Local and Regional Affairs (1999-2001). As an elected official, he worked to cut the rate of uninsured D.C. residents in half, increased children’s health care and brought attention to the HIV/AIDS epidemic by lowering AIDS-related deaths and decreasing new HIV cases.
Catania earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and B.A. from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service.
