Former Keller High School Social Studies Teacher Opens Local Home Service Business
Keller, TX (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Window Genie announces the grand opening of its newest location in Keller, TX on Monday August 4th. Before purchasing a Window Genie franchise Mark Werpney served his community as a high school social studies teacher for nine years; most recently at Keller High School. He taught a variety of subjects such as AP Government, U.S. History and Economics. “I felt an immense passion for teaching,” Werpney said. “It gave me some of the best years of my life.” This past year Werpney felt he was ready for his next venture. He said, “I’ve always dreamed of owning my own business, and I was finally at a point in my life where I was ready for the challenge both mentally and financially. I love my community and wanted to find an opportunity to run a business that would allow me to continue serving and interacting with the people of Keller.” He found that in Window Genie.
While teaching, Werpney worked part-time as a bellman at a nearby hotel. He said, “Working in hospitality really opened my eyes to the importance of customer service. Our location was ranked number one in overall guest satisfaction at the time for this particular chain of hotels.” Werpney hired his former co-worker at the hotel, Bryan Stewart, as his first Window Genie employee. “Bryan was part of that incredible team of customer service professionals at the hotel that put us at number one; I’m very lucky he’s agreed to work with me at Window Genie. He’ll make a huge impact on the customer experience because he’s dedicated to earning their business. He’s just a helpful, reliable, likable guy that our customers will want back time and time again.”
Ultimately Werpney chose Window Genie because he says it is, “a team of passionate, successful individuals and I want to be a part of that. I feel I’ll always be set up for success because I’m in business for myself but not by myself. Everyone from the corporate support staff to individual franchise owners I spoke to all have an enthusiasm for the business.
