Former Miss Michigan Teen USA, Fitness Model and Momtrepreneur Lands Business Deal on ABC’s Shark Tank
Grand Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) January 29, 2016 -- Shefit®, a Michigan-based sports bra and athletic apparel company, appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank this evening to pitch their company in hopes of making a business deal. Sara Moylan, founder and inventor, and her husband Bob appeared in front of Sharks Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner & Robert Herjavec. Shark Daymond John, of FUBU fame, made an offer of $250,000 for 33% ownership, which Bob and Sara accepted.
“This has been such an incredibly exciting, nerve-wracking and unbelievable experience,” said Sara Moylan, Shefit® founder and creator. “Bob and I hoped to secure a deal and we are thrilled that Daymond John was the Shark that invested in us. He's our perfect match.”
Shefit® plans to use the investment and the partnership with Daymond John to improve their inventory position as well as their manufacturing capacity. “For the majority of the company’s existence the most challenging obstacle has been the manufacturing process and keeping up with customer demand,” said Moylan.
Made by a woman for a woman, Moylan crafted Shefit® more than 10 years ago while pregnant with her first daughter and struggling with breast pain that caused her workouts to lose intensity.
