Former NFL Player Warrick Dunn Issues 28 Day Giving Challenge
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- The challenge issued by Retired Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running Back and Philanthropist, Warrick Dunn encourages 28 days of giving $28 from 28,000 people on http://www.28challenge.com as part of his charities, "Good Role Models" campaign.
Dunn began his Homes for the Holidays program to assist single parent families in 1997 while a 22-year old NFL rookie just four years after his single mother, a Baton Rouge police officer was killed during an off-duty security shift. The program has served 139 families with down-payment assistance, food, home furnishings and other necessities to combat poverty and hunger to improve the quality of life for those in need. Warrick Dunn Charities has two additional programs: Betty's Hope, a mobile children's breavement program and recently launched Homes for Service, an affordable homeownership program benefitting civil servants and teachers. A scholarship program will launch in 2015.
Warrick Dunn Charities has partnered with corporations and community leaders that understand the value and impact of Dunn's near two decades of selfless work. Over 28 days via social media, Dunn challenges individuals and companies to give as he has and encourages others to be good role models and corporate citizens to each other. Donors are asked to share good deed stories and challenge a friend.

Donors will be randomly selected to receive incentives for their giving. The #28challenge will end at midnight on October 16, 2014.
