Former Stockbroker Discovers Sex Addict, Sheep, Restored Faith in God in New Memoir
PHOENIX (PRWEB) October 10, 2016 -- When Allison Romney decided to retire after a successful career as a stockbroker to help her husband run their farm, she never imagined she would be taking on another fulltime job. She soon discovered that her husband was, and had been throughout their marriage, a sex addict, which eventually led to their divorce and her taking on full responsibility of the farm. However, Romney experienced several miracles through God that would change her life forever.
Romney’s memoir, “A Day on the Farm: Finding Hope in a Hopeless Situation” details her journey through one of the most difficult times of her life. She tells stories of betrayal and heartbreak from her husband, and how she overcame the challenges of suddenly becoming the owner of a 115-acre farm and its equipment, livestock, and financial responsibilities.
Despite the obvious challenges these circumstances presented in her life, Romney believes she is all the better for it. “My story began when I took over the farm,” she said. “Running an unfamiliar business suddenly on my own taught me so many life lessons.”
Among those lessons were forgiveness, perseverance, love, patience, and surrender to God. “Once I trusted in him and let go, everything turned around. My book and my story is proof of that.”
Romney hopes that by reading her memoir, everyone will learn that even though bad things happen to good people, it is important to trust in God, forgive those who wrong us, and love deeply.
