Fortunata, Fine Italian Ceramics, Launches New Website
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) October 10, 2014 -- For the first time in Fortunata's 19-year history, designers, retailers and consumers can go directly to the company's website and order from its vast inventory of top quality, handcrafted Italian ceramics. "We've worked very hard and for many months to bring a fresh new look to our website, " said Margaret Proctor, founder and owner of Fortunata. "We want the quality of our website to match the quality of our products. And we've done that." Proctor said the Pulcinella line will be introduced at the High Point Furniture Market Oct. 18-23.
Pulcinella and Fortunata's numerous other lines of fine ceramics will be available online following the conclusion of the High Point event. Proctor said one of her key goals in the redesign of Fortunata's web site was providing customers with the highest quality photography of its products that enables them to view online the fine and subtle details of each piece from multiple angles.
Highlighting the new website is Fortunata's stunning Pulcinella line of ceramics.
"I'm very proud of what we've created with Pulcinella," Proctor said. "Its aesthetic is cleaner and more modern and we're offering it in white which can work in just about any scheme." Months in the making, the Pulcinella line of fine ceramics is the result of Proctor's close, on-site collaboration with a noted Tuscan artisan. "It's a small shop just outside Florence. It's not a factory," Proctor said. "The artisan is extremely precise in his work. The lines we've created are clean and the end result is a fresh, but classic look."
"Each piece is hand-made and offers customers something of quality and uniqueness," she added. Fortunata is also presenting new lines of its popular dinnerware that is highly durable and dishwasher and microwave safe.
Now entering the end of its second decade, Fortunata remains true to its original ideals of providing customers with the highest quality handcrafted Italian ceramics.
"We go to Italy and we work closely with the finest artisans to create and bring back to our U.S. and international customers products that are beautiful, durable and of classic design," Proctor said. "I've always been passionate about working with and supporting this caliber of artisan, and bringing these unique pieces back to the market place," she said. “That is my story. And that's Fortunata's story."
