Foundation Financial Group Gets Ducky for United Rehabilitation Services
Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Foundation Financial Group has announced its support of United Rehabilitation Services and its 10th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta. Employees from Foundation Financial’s Dayton Retail Branch Office will join forces with coworkers from four other FFG Retail Branch Offices to help raise funds for URS and its commitment to infants, children, and adults with disabilities.

Heartfelt compassion fills the URS campus. The staff gives first-class care for those with special needs and much-needed support for their loved ones. Disabilities do not discriminate and can impact anyone’s life, regardless of a person’s skin color or bank account. By supporting United Rehabilitation Services, FFG is helping to improve the entire community and make each member stronger.”
In preparation for the 10th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta, FFG and other sponsors will be encouraging community members to adopt rubber ducks. The event’s website portal for online adoptions will be available on Friday, July 26. Fees are set at $5 per duck; adopt 5 ducks to get the 6th one for free. Adoptive parents will receive “adoption papers” that will link them to their duckling.
At the Regatta, over 15,000 rubber ducks will be dropped into the Miami River, and the water’s current will carry the flock to the finish line. Winning ducks’ adoptive parents will receive prizes donated by URS sponsors. Prizes include a brand new vehicle, airline tickets, a stay on a 6-bedroom houseboat, and a variety of gift cards. The 10th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta event will also coincide with the Taste of Miami Valley, featuring food and drinks from over 30 local restaurants.
After learning about the Ohio event and URS, several FFG Retail Branch Offices were inspired to get involved. Foundation Financial Group employees from Retail Branch Offices located in Dayton, OH; Toledo, OH; Taylor Mill, KY; and North and South Indianapolis, IN will coordinate efforts to support United Rehabilitation Services’ mission. Foundation Financial volunteers will also be onsite at RiverScape MetroPark on Saturday, September 21 to help with the 10th Annual Duck Regatta setup and clean up, direct traffic, and do whatever else is needed. Team FFG is still formulating its strategy, but the financial services corporation will be raising awareness and funding for United Rehabilitation Services.
