Foundation Financial Group Walks for Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness
Rochester, New York (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- Foundation Financial Group supported Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis fundraising walk. The event benefitted people suffering from Crohn’s Disease and Colitis and was attended by employees from Foundation Financial’s Rochester Regional Sales Center, located at 1 South Washington Street #3.
"The work the Financial Foundation Group volunteers performed at our 2013 Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis was priceless,” said Stacy Massaro Executive Director Rochester, NY Chapter of CCFA. “With the help of the many volunteers that showed up, we were able to have a very successful walk. Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis is the nation's largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. At Monroe Community College, Rochester’s CCFA supporters walked two miles together to demonstrate solidarity, raise funds, and spread awareness for people suffering from Crohn’s Disease and Colitis. Take Steps brought the digestive diseases community together to share some exercise and enjoy music, food, kids’ activities, and local entertainment.
“So many people with Crohn’s Disease and Colitis suffer silently,” said Foundation Financial Group Event Coordinator Nicholas Hallas. “I have watched Crohn’s Disease drastically impact a member of my family, so I am familiar with the struggle. I hope FFG’s participation in Take Steps helped someone feel less alone and inspired to keep fighting.
