Fourth Annual Oilmen Against Muscular Dystrophy Shootout to Benefit MDA Families
Shreveport, LA. (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- The fourth annual Oilmen Against Muscular Dystrophy Shootout event has its target set on raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Saturday, May 10 at the Los Paloma Sporting Range and Event Center in Benton, La.
Oilmen Against Muscular Dystrophy was formed by Kelly Goodwin, an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys shooting sporting clays competitively. Goodwin and his family created the OAMD Shootout event as a way to raise awareness for his son and nephew, who are affected by neuromuscular disease, while helping other families served by MDA.
"The tremendous amount of support we have generously received over the past few years has been above and beyond our expectations,” said Goodwin. “We created this event not only to raise funds, but to ultimately increase awareness that will help families like mine who are also affected by muscle disease. The Shootout tournament is an exciting and fun way for people in our community and surrounding areas to fight back and help to find a cure.”
Individuals can register prior to the event at http://www.oamdclays.com or the day of the event beginning at 7 a.m. All registrants must attend a safety briefing on location before participating in the tournament. This year’s event features an ATV give-away for a perfect score, sponsored by Louisiana Power Sports.
