FR Conversions to Introduce its Pioneer II Ambulance at EMS World Expo in Las Vegas
Westminster, MD (PRWEB) September 28, 2017 -- FR Conversions (http://frconversions.com) is set to unveil its new FR Pioneer II Ambulance, the first Type II ambulance built in America on the RAM ProMaster platform, at the 2017 EMS World Expo, October 16th thru 20th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fully-loaded ambulance, designed by EMS professionals with a combined 52 years of experience, promises to ensure both quality and value with all the standard features an EMS professional would expect for emergency and non-emergency patient transportation.
“Most ambulances on the current market have steep price tags due to the hundreds of available custom options that can drastically drive up the overall cost. The FR Pioneer II keeps its price tag lower by making many of these custom options "standard" in its vehicle,” said Larry Appel, V.P. of New Product Development at FR Conversions.
On top of this, the FR Pioneer II ambulance meets or exceeds all industry standards, including Triple K, CAAS, and NFPA.
And while Type II ambulances are normally built for basic life support (BLS) and commercial ambulance services, the FR Pioneer II boasts a large interior to accommodate advanced life support (ALS). This is made possible due to the innovative use of space as well as the RAM ProMaster 2500 chassis, which provides more workspace and storage than typical Type II ambulances at a fraction of the cost of ALS-designed Type I and III’s. The RAM ProMaster is also the only full-size van manufactured with front wheel drive, making it highly adaptable to poor weather conditions that could hinder emergency services.
And the RAM ProMaster has a slew of other features to boast: best in class turning ratio, 20 mpg highway use, a high ceiling with plenty of headroom for EMS professionals and the lowest step-in height (over 9 inches less than the Ford Transit) that is deeper and wider than any type II ambulance in the market.
As for storage, the FR Pioneer II features six full-sized cabinets that are deeper and wider than most Type II ambulance lines as well as four upper cabinets, storage under the bench seats, a sharps disposable box, and glove box holders in the front and back.
The interior cabinets are all fully welded aluminum structure and frame, with stainless steel fascia and Corian® counter tops. The ambulance cabinets are built with an LED backlight and shatterproof glass that easily slide-locks into place. The electrical system is operated by a sophisticated computer that eliminates most of the wiring found in competitive vehicles making diagnostics and maintenance easy.
The ambulance also contains an advanced climate control system with floor-based radiant heating. The fuel-powered system allows the FR Pioneer II to stay warm even while the vehicle is not running, using less than 1 gallon of gas per 24 hours of continuous operation.
Additionally, the programmable thermostat allows the ambulance to heat without the vehicle running. It operates on a timer to reduce idle time, fuel waste, and labor.
