Frank Cordeiro, CCM Elected President of The Golden State Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America
Newport Beach, California (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- Frank Cordeiro, CCM, General Manager of Hacienda Golf Club in La Habra Heights, California has been elected President of The Golden State Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA). The announcement was made at The Golden State Chapter Annual Fall Conference in Newport Beach which was held October 13-15, 2013.
CMAA is the professional association for managers of the world’s leading clubs. The organization has more than 6,000 members and 46 chapters all over the globe, spanning the entire United States as well as Canada, South America, Australia, Europe and as far as South Africa. In 2008, the four California Chapters of CMAA merged into The Golden State Chapter.
Frank Cordeiro, CCM is the COO/GM of Hacienda Golf Club in La Habra Heights, a private-equity golf club established in 1920. He has been in his current position since 2002. His career in the private club industry began in 1996, shortly after graduating from California Polytechnic University Pomona with a degree in Hospitality Management.
Consistent with his belief in giving back to an association that has afforded him many of the opportunities he now enjoys, Frank has actively served on many TGSC and CMAA National committees over the years. He currently serves on the CMAA Technology Committee and Corporate Task Force. Before chapter consolidation, he served on the Southern California Chapter Board. His service on The Golden State Chapter Board began in 2009 and he has held positions as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and now as President.
His theme for this year is “LLL”, which represents “Learn, Lead & Live”. Frank says “Learning and professional development have always been the core of what we represent as an association and providing the very best in cutting-edge education will remain a high priority. Our theme, together with our mission statement, will help guide many of the efforts we undertake during the coming year.”
