Franklin Mutual Advisers’ Peter Langerman and Christian Correa Join Board of All Stars Project of NJ to Advance Inner-City Youth Development
Newark, NJ (PRWEB) September 13, 2014 -- The All Stars Project of New Jersey (ASP NJ), New Jersey’s fastest growing leader in afterschool development, announced the appointments of Peter Langerman and Christian Correa to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Langerman is a resident of Short Hills, N.J. and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC, which is part of the Franklin Templeton family of mutual fund managers. He is a co-portfolio manager of Mutual Shares Fund and co-portfolio manager of the Mutual Global Discovery products. Mr. Langerman graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies. He holds a master's degree in accounting from New York University Graduate School of Business and received his Juris Doctor degree from Stanford University Law School.
“As a board member, I hope to encourage others in the private sector to recognize the impact All Stars has already had and the unlimited possibilities for future growth in the afterschool arena,” Mr. Langerman said.
Mr. Correa is a resident of Short Hills, N.J. and Portfolio Manager for Franklin Mutual. He has been a key volunteer for the ASP NJ Development School for Youth (DSY) leadership training program, participating in corporate workshops and conducting mock job interviews with students to help build their business performances. Mr. Correa has been at Franklin Mutual for eleven years. Prior to that, he served as an associate at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Correa holds a master’s degree in economics from Northwestern University and graduated Harvard Law School in 2001.
