Frederick Rescue Mission’s Summer Enrichment Program
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) July 01, 2015 -- The Frederick Rescue Mission is excited about completing its first week of the 4th Annual Summer Enrichment Program. The eight-week program, June 22 -August 13, runs Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Providing guidance and tutoring for 1st through 5th graders in the Frederick community, the Mission encourages the participants to become successful students. Topics such as how to deal with emotions, life changes, and manners are also discussed. In addition to building life skills, the children will also engage in creative lessons, four field trips, and innovative games. The Frederick Rescue Mission provides each student with a nutritious lunch and healthy snack. Generous friends and donors of the Mission have made the four field trips and this year’s program possible! The children in the program are in for a summer to remember!
The Frederick Rescue Mission has been serving Frederick city and the surrounding areas for five decades. Established as a non-profit Christian ministry in 1964, the Mission is a Christ-centered ministry providing residential recovery programs to the homeless or chemically addicted, food to the hungry, clothing to the needy, and connection within our community through relationships.
