Freedom Finance’s Consumer Manifesto survey reveal how political party promises influence voters
Manchester (PRWEB UK) 12 March 2015 -- With the 2015 General Election creeping ever closer, the results of Freedom Finance’s Consumer Manifesto survey reflect how UK voters currently feel about the fate of the British economy lying in the political parties’ hands.
The Manchester based loan broker’s survey gave customers a platform to have their say on important financial issues in the run-up to the election. The response to the first question; asking voters how much they trust the economic claims of the major parties revealed that 1% believe them to be completely reliable whilst 43% take them ‘with a pinch of salt’.
The survey went on to question how important the economic claims of the main parties are to voters as the General Election approaches. With 31% of respondents considering them to be a major deciding factor and 28% perceiving them to be relatively important, the parties need to work hard to convince the voting public that their economic strategies will help boost the UK economy and improve day-to-day living for all.
When it came to the most important economic factors influencing which political party the survey respondents will vote for in the election, investment in public services including the NHS was the biggest deciding factor at 32% with voters also wanting to know how the economic decisions made by the next government will affect them personally.
With the next Consumer Manifesto survey on its way, Freedom Finance’s customers will again be given the opportunity to have their say on the financial issues that impact on their daily lives and drive their political decisions ahead of the election.
