Freeslate Launches FormPrep to Automate Protein Formulation Preparation, Buffer Exchange, and Sample Concentration

Designed for scientists, Freeslate’s FormPrep automates biologics formulation preparation, buffer exchange, and sample concentration in one simple, easy-to-use system. FormPrep’s ability to prepare multiple formulations at high concentrations at a small scale allows scientists to evaluate high protein concentrations earlier in development. FormPrep’s automated workflow can also increase the repeatability and reproducibility of formulation preparation across projects, departments, and campaigns.
Buffer preparation, exchange, and sample concentration for a formulation screen can take 2-4 days of a scientist’s time for even the simplest screens. While many labs have developed strategies to streamline formulation development, it’s still relatively manual and requires significant resources which can limit the number of formulations evaluated. Freeslate has eliminated this bottleneck with the FormPrep system which enables scientists to easily, rapidly, and automatically generate up to 12 different protein formulations at the 0.5 mL to 8 mL scale every day with minimal hands-on time.
