Friday Night Live comes to the Pico Union Project
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 24, 2015 -- Friday Night Live Shabbat services are coming to the blossoming downtown nonprofit Pico Union Project on July 10, 2015! The event will be coordinated by Craig Taubman in collaboration with ten community organizations and will include Rabbis Nicole Guzik, Jonathan Bernhard, Jonathan Aaron, Josh Aaronson, as well as Cantors Kerith Shapiro and Marcus Feldman, and the Beit Tshuvah Choir and Band.
“For the past five years we've held Shabbat at the Ford Amphitheatre,” said Bill Kaplan of the Shalom Institute, one of the event sponsors. “We are so excited that Pico Union Project is opening their doors for what we know will be an unforgettable, community-wide Shabbat celebration!"
Pico Union Project will open its doors at 7:15pm for artisanal pizzas, salads, and mingling. Shabbat services will begin with candle lighting at 8:15pm followed by an eclectic array of performers including Bazzar Ensemble, Sariyah Idan, Lior Ben Hur, Shany Zamir and Mostly Kosher.
The evening is being supported by: Sinai Temple-Atid, Adat Ari El, Temple Judea, Stephen S. Wise, Temple Emanuel, Vista Del Mar, Shalom Institute, Jewish World Watch, Beit Tshuvah, and University Synagogue.
