From its Start in a Garage, Low Voltage Solutions Reaches 20-year Milestone
Crest Hill, IL (PRWEB) September 19, 2017 -- Low Voltage Solutions, Inc., has powered up its business for the past 20 years. During that span, it has adapted to growth and technology trends, but most importantly, continues to succeed because of its people and values.
When the company first launched in a garage back in 1997 by co-founders Gary St. Cin and the late John Fassett, its mission was to build a customer-focused low voltage cabling company. Pooling a few dollars, the pair worked to get that first job and grow their reputation by keeping promises and having integrity in everything the company did.
At the time, LVS service offerings were local area network (LAN) infrastructure and fiber optic cabling installations to support voice and data services. Within 10 years, LVS expanded its offerings from just voice/data to providing the installation of security (access control and CCTV), fire alarm, professional sound, audio-visual, and distributed antenna systems. Today, LVS provides services to various markets including healthcare, commercial, multi-tenant residential, industrial, higher education, historically designated buildings, and massive data centers.
“Adding to our portfolio has made LVS more attractive to contractors and new customers alike,” said St. Cin, LVS president and CEO. “Our ability to take on all of the various low voltage systems on a project provides a considerable cost savings and adds tremendous value to our customers.” LVS employs over 70 highly skilled and trained employees. “We are committed to our reputation and integrity in everything we do,” adds St. Cin.
A few of the extraordinary and challenging projects LVS has tackled include:
- Shedd Aquarium
- Niketown
- Eataly Restaurant and Store
- Northwest Community Hospital
- Chicago Athletic Club
- Silver Cross Hospital
As the structured cabling market levels off, St. Cin expects the security market to grow exponentially. “We see tremendous opportunities for in-building wireless applications like distributed antenna systems (DAS) and internet of things (IOT) for smart buildings. In addition, low voltage lighting will continue to develop because of its significant costs savings in reducing power consumption.”
After two decades of change and growth, LVS has launched a new website sharing its mission and work. A new gallery of pictures showcase recent projects in Chicago and the Midwest. Visitors can see the LVS process and a revamped section on solutions in five key areas.
