Frontier Nursing University Recognized as #1 Nurse-Midwifery Program in the U.S.
Hyden, KY (PRWEB) April 22, 2015 -- Frontier Nursing University’s (FNU) nurse-midwifery program is ranked as #1 in the United States by US News & World Report according to the recent release of the 2016 best nursing specialty programs. With 39 accredited midwifery education programs in the country, FNU is at the top of the list and graduates approximately 30% of the nation's certified nurse-midwives. FNU’s nurse-midwifery program celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2014 and continues to be the largest and longest continually-operating program in the country.
FNU’s nurse-midwifery program is offered as a graduate-level distance education program with master of science in nursing (MSN) and doctor of nursing practice (DNP) degree options. Nurse-midwifery as well as family nursing practitioner and women’s health care nurse practitioner specialty options are available through FNU’s distance programs, which prepare registered nurses to be advanced practice nurses and midwives who provide primary care to women and families.
