Frontline Technologies, Creator of Aesop, Acquires CRS Advanced Technology, Creator of SubFinder
MALVERN, Pa. (PRWEB) February 09, 2015 -- Frontline Technologies, a leading provider of web-based tools for the K-12 education market, today announced that it has acquired CRS Advanced Technology, the provider of the SubFinder substitute placement system.
Based in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, CRS launched in 1987 with the creation of SubFinder, an automated "sub-calling" system allowing school districts to log teacher absences and schedule substitute teachers over the phone. In 1998, Frontline Technologies launched Aesop, its own substitute scheduling system, but the first to incorporate both the phone and internet.
"Frontline and CRS have both successfully served the needs of school districts for more than 15 years," said Frontline Technologies Managing Partner Michael Blackstone. "With more than 4,000 districts now using Aesop for their substitute and absence management needs, we are pleased to welcome over 600 SubFinder customers to the Frontline family."
Though SubFinder users will not see any immediate change, Frontline intends to eventually retire the SubFinder system.
"We have worked very hard with the CRS management team to create a smooth and easy migration plan for districts to move their data from SubFinder to Aesop," said Director of Client Services Larry Foxx. In addition to Aesop, the Frontline Technologies suite of K-12 administrative tools also includes VeriTime, a time and attendance management system, and AppliTrack, a recruiting, screening and employee file management system that Frontline acquired last August.
Frontline also offers several tools for educators, including Jobulator, a job notification service for substitute teachers, K12JobSpot, an educational job board, and Teachwise, an online marketplace for original educational materials. Frontline plans to continue its expansion into K-12 software solutions through the development and acquisition of new products.
