FSXinterlinked Concludes Successful Investment Conference in Tucson
(PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- FSXinterlinked, the leading nationwide investment conference organization, wrapped up its latest event at The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, near Tucson, Arizona earlier this month. The latest conference showcased presentations by promising emerging growth companies raising capital, a variety of top speakers, educational seminars, and the official launch of the new scholarship program, Tomorrow’s CEOs Today. The keynote speaker, David Weild, Chairman and CEO of IssuWorks, captured the audience by highlighting the importance of crowdfunding in a new era, and how companies can use current regulations to raise investment capital creatively and efficiently.
Weild is widely considered the “father of the JOBS act”, and has both lobbied congress, and authored various papers on the importance of raising equity capital freely, and how deregulation can help level the playing field. Weild is a former Vice Chairman and executive committee member of The NASDAQ Stock Market, and spent years running Wall Street investment banking and equity capital markets businesses. He has overseen over 1,000 public offerings during the course of his career.
Another highlight of the past FSXinterlinked conference was the inauguration of the Tomorrow’s CEOs Today scholarship program during our charity golf outing, which kicked off the event. It was a great time for the group to network, and provided the ideal backdrop for launching the new scholarship program. Former Arizona Secretary of State, Ken Bennet, along with many other prominent members of the investment community attended the conference to show support for FSXinterlinked’s new scholarship program and conference series.
Under the new scholarship program, 40% of all FSXinterlinked conference profits, including sponsorship dollars and registration fees, fund the Tomorrow’s CEO Today scholarship custodial account. Scholarship recipients, whom excel academically and have overcome tremendous challenges, are awarded scholarships for university or business startup capital. Additionally, 10% of profits are given to a charity for children of need.
“With Tomorrow’s CEOs Today scholarships, we are reinforcing our commitment to invest in students’ education and future, as well as help create jobs by investing in promising companies on the verge of growth,” said Delray Wannemacher, President and CEO of Interlinked. “Our vision for this scholarship fund is to support the education of next generation business leaders, help propel their future careers, and award deserving companies with capital to grow.”
